Here is some great news that will hopefully curb the paparazzi and their deplorable ways.
An assembly bill making its way through state committees gained the support of the city of Los Angeles today, July 24,2009.
The Bill is known as, AB 524 (for complete Bill)“would allow civil fines of up to $50,000 for the taking and selling of images or recordings of people engaged in personal or familial activity, with actual knowledge that the images or recordings were obtained illegally and if any compensation, consideration, or remuneration was provided,” according to a city motion.
Some of my readers have been the victims and others have witnessed video cameramen and photographers getting into celebrities personal space and even becoming dangerously close. It is nearly impossible to see with the flashes continuously going off, or the video lights turned on one’s face.
Council-member Paul Koretz, a former Assemblyman himself, said the bill “only makes sense.”
John Mayer talks about paparazzi over a year ago.

I think part of that law should be the paps have to stay so far away from celebs at all times. The way one just threw down his camera and got in justin timberlakes face is downright dangerous. Then the way they just about crawl on their cars to get a picture then sue the celeb when they run over their foot is outrageous.
