Simon Cowell is planning on taking X Factor to Las Vegas as part of a global internet venture.

Simon, 50, is the highest-earning TV personality in the US and he is teaming up Sir Philip Green, a wealthy retail tycoon.

Simon & Sir Philip explained all this in their GQ Magazine interview.

The Global X Factor show would be two shows a week available online via a pay-per-view service.

Sir Philip explained that they wanted to, “have a permanent place. The home of X Factor – live from Las Vegas.

“We’ll have a store. And it’ll be online.
“Vegas is tailor-made for this show. You get to the final 12, your dreams come true – you’re going to sing in Vegas.”

If the project is successful in Las Vegas, they will be staging similar X Factor competitions in other countries.

As far as the money behind the concept, Simon reportedly earned an estimated $75m (£44.7m) from June 2008 to June 2009. And Sir Philip just opened the first US Topshop in New York.   Last year, he appeared in ninth place on the Sunday Times Rich List.
