The latest update to the Tiger Woods single-car accident yesterday morning (Nov. 27, 2009) at around 2:25 a.m. that is still under investigation comes from the Associated Press.
The Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said this afternoon, Saturday (Nov. 28, 2009) at around 3:00 p.m. EDT, that investigators are “trying not to get on the rumor mill.”
The police did try to visit with Tiger this afternoon, as was reported by the two dozen or so media and TV trucks camped out by Tiger’s gated community of Isleworth in Florida.
Spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes added that the investigation should be finished within the next few days.
Tiger is scheduled to host his Tiger Woods Foundation Chevron World Challenge next week in Thousand Oaks, Calif., which benefits his own charities and causes.
Tiger is still scheduled to hold a press conference on Tuesday afternoon and we will have to wait to find out if he will be playing in the tournament.
