PETA’s new “Fur-Free And Fabulous” campaign features images of First Lady Michelle Obama alongside Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks and Carrie Underwood.
This is something that the White House is not too pleased about.
Although Michelle Obama previously stated that she doesn’t wear fur, she did not consent to appear in the ad.
“We did not consent to this,” said a spokesperson for the First Lady’s office.
PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in a statement that they know Michelle Obama can’t endorse the ad, but “The fact is that Michelle Obama has issued a statement indicating that she doesn’t wear fur, and the world should know that in PETA’s eyes, that makes her pretty fabulous.”
